Title: Nash
Author: Jay Crownover
Series: Marked Men #4
Summary: Saint Ford was a girl who had her dream job come true. Being a nurse Saint had no time for outside life, let alone a love life. Until the one guy who hurt her in the past walked into the ER. Was he still the same guy from high school?
Nash Donovan had a rough life. His mother didn't want him so his Uncle Phil took him in and raised him to be the man he was today. One earth shattering secret was revealed and the life he thought he knew came tumbling down. Can Saint get over the past and help Nash get through this difficult part in his life?
\My Review: I love Nash and all the boys. Saint bothered me a little bit. I know what happened back in high school wasn't nice but to live 8 years with that defining who you were wasn't good knowing and questioning yourself. My heart broke for Nash, who finally found out that his uncle who raised him was really his father. It was hard to watch him and struggle through it all. I'm glad Saint finally came to her senses and went back to Nash. If it's one thing these bad boy tattooed brothers know how to do is love the one that they can't live without unconditionally. Another great read by Jay Crownover.

Rome
Title: Rome
Author: Jay Crownover
Series: Marked Men #3
Summary: Cora Lewis is a small chick but don't let looks fool you, she speaks her mind, and gives advice to everyone except herself. She also is waiting for Mr. Perfect. After getting her heart broken and shattered in the past she is definitely not looking to hand it out to the first guy she meets.
Rome Archer was discharged from the Army after 10 years of service because his shoulder couldn't take much more. Thrown back into the real world, and finding out someone has taken his job at protecting his younger brother, he doesn't know what to do with himself, or what his future holds.
Until one drunk night changed everything. Can Mrs. Perfect get past the fact that Rome is battling things that not even she can imagine? Can Rome see why Cora can't hand her heart out to just anyone?
My Review: This was the first Marked Men book that I shed tears, three times actually. I couldn't put this down. There is something about military books that I love so much. Rome is battling his own demons from the army, has family problems and doesn't know what to do now that he is out of the army. Cora is a little chick who got her heart shattered and is terrified of loving someone. I love Rome and the fact that he told her how he felt. The first time I had tears was when the girls brought Orlando over to have him help some of Rome's demons go away. The second time was when there was the shoot out in the bar parking lot. Just when Cora decided to tell him how she felt something had to go and happen. The third was when Rule proposed to Shaw. I'm sure Jay Crownover knows exactly how to get us.
I think the next book is gonna have more tears shed...

Jet
Title: Jet
Author: Jay Crownover
Series: Marked Men #2
Summary: This is the 2nd book in the Marked Men series, and it is all about Jet and Ayden.
Jet Keller is a rock and roller all around. He has the tattoos, piercings and is the vocalist for his band to prove it, but he isn't into going on tour for months at a time. He loves being where he is playing locally. He is every girls fantasy but it is Ayden who catches his eye.
\Ayden Cross is from the South and convincess herself that she needs a good guy who has his future mapped out. She cannot afford to get caught up with Jet, after everything she has done to leave the wild girl in the past. When her brother comes to her town everything unravels.
A year ago Jet and Ayden almost slept together, but he didn't want to ruin the good girl image she had, little did he know. Now they live together and the attraction if anything has increased. He still thinks she is off limits but would that change if he know the real her? They finally act upon it, just friends fooling around. Could it ever be more?
"Well if I was fire, Ayden was water."
My Review: I love the Marked Men series. Guys who look badass on the outside but the love and protection they have for friends is like nothing else. This book was just as good as Rule's. You know they are going to get together but you don't know how, or what they have to go through to get there and that is what makes you glue yourself to the book until you finish it. I know they both had a past but they are both stubborn and don't talk about it. If they did they could have gone though everything together.

Th1rteen R3asons Why
Title: Thirteen Reasons Why
Author: Jay Asher
Summary: This book is about Hannah Baker, who committed suicide. She recorded tapes talking about the 13 people who played a part if her suicide. The book is about Clay number 9 on the list, listening to the tapes. At first he didn't want to read it because he will figure out secrets of everyone in it. Soon after he wants to see if someone could have stopped her.
You can't stop the future.
You can't rewind the past
The only way to learn the secret
...is to press play.
My Review: I normally don't read books about suicide and upsetting situations. This is the 2nd book I've read like this. I am a paranormal, fantasy, romance type of person. I gave it a shot though. I must have seen it somewhere and the title caught my eye. I borrowed it from my library and finished it in a day. It's the type of book where once you start you needed to find out what happened. Especially since Clay kept saying what did i do...I had to find out. Overall it was a good book. Hannah had a lot of things, a lot of people affecting her life and she needed a way out. She could have done what Clay asked, and opened up. Maybe things would have changed and the other people on the tape would not matter.
I felt sorry for Clay. He liked her and he had to sit there and listen to all of the people who did something wrong, to hurt her, knowing it was too late to try to save her.
Not sure if I am going to read another book like this. It's different then what I'm used to reading.
Have a great weekend!

The White Rose
Title: The White Rose
Author: Amy Ewing
Series: The Lone City #2
Summary: The Jewel left off with the worst cliffhanger. I'm so glad this book picks up right where the 1st book left off, . Violet escaping the Duchess's palace and the Jewel. Violet is a 16 year old girl who was taken from her home to be a surrogate for the royals. She was known as Lot 197 and bought by Duchess of the Lake. They escaped with the help of a person she least expected, Garnet. They quickly realized that it was not easy once they escaped The Jewel. By disguising themselves to fit in wherever they were able to slip right through the Regimentals. They made it to a safe house in the Farm.
Violet meets someone who wants to stop the royals just as badly as she does. The rebellion is starting and Violet is in the middle of it, just realizing how much power she is capable of. Will they be able to over throw The Jewel with the new problems they face??
My Review: I read the 1st book a long time ago. If you plan on reading this book, do a quick read of The Jewel so you have everything fresh in your mind. I was so upset when I finished the 1st book and looked for the second realizing it wasn't going to be published until October 6, 2015. I didn't think I would make it with the kind of cliffhanger Amy Ewing left us on. I requested this book from my library when i saw they had it available.
I read it in a day. It was an ok read, kinda slow til it picked up later on in the book. I had to read it, to see what happened to the characters. The relationship with Violet and Ash wasn't like the 1st book, still there but with the new problems it wasn't talked about besides the few moments they were able to steal. To be honest this book reminded me of the Hunger Games and Divergent. How the heroine escapes to a better place to rebel against the government. I admire Violets determination to use her enhanced powers to take down The Jewel and stop the Duchess. I'm glad that Ash has a job he can do to help out. He had nothing to do while staying at the safe house. I'm glad he spoke up when he said they trained him for everything included fighting, using a sword and a gun.
I just looked up the 3rd book and there is no title and no publishing date...I don't know if I could wait with the way Amy Ewing left the cliffhanger. I hope it isn't long before the 3rd book is released.
Enjoy reading!!

My Review:
This series had me hooked from the 1st book. Ten Tiny Breaths. I was finally able to get around to reading this book, and can't believe i waited this long. We meet Cain in Ten Tiny Breaths. He is mentioned every so often . I am glad that K.A. Tucker decided to make his story known. I figured back in book 2 that Cain would have his own book. Cain and Charlie make a great couple. Cain is reserved but Charlie changes that and he starts to show his affection towards her. Once they cross the line there is no going back. The chemistry between these two was great. I liked this book alot.
Ok, my 1st official book review...I still have alot of work to get better. Hopefully the more books i read the better i get at expressing my opinion about the book.

New to book reviewing
I have been reading books for so long now. There is not a day I go without a book in my hands, or well my e-reader. My aunt was the one that got me really into reading. It had to be 5 years ago that i started reading excessively. The two series she introduced my to were J R Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series and Lara Adrian's Breed series. After that vampires and paranormal book were my go to books. Maybe it was the blood sucking aspect of vampires that sucked me into them. I also read werewovles, fairies, anything paranormal, romance fantasy, sometimes thrillers and mysteries.
I will be reading Four Seconds to lose by K.A. Tucker and doing my first review on it by Friday.
What are the type of books you read? Anything you would recommend?
Enjoy reading!!
